Storms and Stars

No storm lasts forever

of how hard  wind blows

or  thunder bellows

regardless of how violently

lightening rips clouds

or rain pounds earth.

Every tempest eventually whimpers,

whimpers then surrenders

to steadfast stars

of temporary tantrums.
